Getting What You Want in 2025: Moodboarding, Goals and Rebranding Manifestation
A step-by-step guide.
My friends would tell you I’m not very woo-woo. Although I am super respectful of anyone’s spiritual beliefs, it’s just not for me. I love a meditation or a thought-provoking, spiritual conversation, but I don’t believe in ghosts or angels, you will never catch me reading my horoscope or asking you what your rising sun is (am I saying it right?) - and don’t even get me started on crystals. If you are into this stuff, maybe you’ll say I’m being a typical Scorpio. Touché.
I do however, believe in the power of manifesting.
But let’s get this straight - manifesting gets a bad rap. It isn’t some pyramid-scheme, The Secret, ask and you shall magically receive activity. It’s about actively getting clear about what you want, setting specific goals to get there, and working on them - consistently. Rinse and repeat.
During and post COVID, as a small business owner I fell off of the manifesting bandwagon - focusing on survival rather than thriving - but in 2025 I am back baby. And I’m here to share with you how I’m upping my goal game in 2025. Let’s do this.
Step One: Mood boarding
As a creative, I love a visual cue. Whilst I’m guilty of the never-ending phone album of screenshots or saved instagram posts, I like to use Pinterest to bring it all together. There’s something cathartic about saving and organising all of your files, collected over time, in one place.
First, start by creating your Pinterest board and pulling in any photos you may have screenshot or saved that may resonate with you. They could be of an outfit, a place you’d like to travel, an interior moment you appreciated, or even an image that evokes a feeling or moment you would like to see yourself in. The good thing about Pinterest is, thanks to the algorithm, a few saves and it will start recommending similar images, really bringing your mood board to life.
Step Two: Setting the Vision & Intent
If you went into 2025 overwhelmed about where to focus your time or energy this year, what stands out from your moodboard? What do you seem to have more images of? How is this relevant to you?
Use this as a time of reflection to get clear on what is important to you: you could even sort your board further into categories. For me, these were: A Deeper Dive into my Creativity (cue: this Substack, MAISON ESSENTIELE, carving out time for free creativity, etc), Interior Styling & Renovation of our newly-purchased apartment, and Fun, in the way of travel, exploration & more. Of course, these aren’t the only pillars of my life that I am actively grateful for or working on, but these are some examples that came out of this exercise.
Next, (and this is the second most important part!!) put pen to paper, creating some actionable, measurable goals. Maybe you want to put more of a focus into carving out more time for you and feeling your best, so your actionable and measurable goal is to attend 3 pilates classes per week, and walk every other day outside. Maybe you want to travel to Italy in the summer, so your actionable goal is to save a set portion of your salary every week, until you have a certain amount of money, by July.
Whatever your goal, work backwards from the end result, putting together small stepping stones that you can measure along the way to get there.
Step Three: Get Accountable
So you’re feeling excited and inspired with your newly created goals and mood board. Great! Here is the scary one - time to tell people. Saying your goals out loud can feel daunting, but what better way to be held accountable on your promise to yourself. Confide in a trusted best friend, partner or family member, and have them check in with you on your progress. Trust me - this works.
Step Four: Do the Work
The first most important step! There is nothing standing in the way of you and your vision besides the work. To whom much is given, much is expected. Time to get busy.
Step Five: Check in. Celebrate You. Adjust. Repeat.
Congratulations: you’re on your way to achieving your 2025 goals. Schedule regular check ins withourself on your progress. Life moves fast and is ever changing, so maybe you need to adjust some timelines or progress along the way.
Lastly - Don’t forget to celebrate the process, and all that you are currently, whether you have achieved your goal or not. What did you do well today?
Good luck, Dear Reader. Sending love to you, wherever you are. I feel this year is going to be a good one.

This Weeks Love List:
Karst 2025 Planner Diary: A day to a page (necessary for endless to dos and notes), monthly themes and plenty of space for goals and gratitude whilst keeping that classic, Moleskine look. Tick.
Elle Effect Tan: In the spirit of keeping up the I’ve-just-come-back-from-holiday glow, this tan smells like roses, dries pretty much instantly and leaves you with an even, golden tan. No shrek-like green undertone or Dorito toes (both of which I have been guilty of in the past).
MAISON ESSENTIELE Suit Shorts in Navy Pinstripe: I have these on high rotation with my MAISON ESSENTIELE baby tees or a grey tank. Add flip flops or ballet flats for day, and a kitten heel for night. One foot in the office one foot still on holidays.
Wynn Hamlyn Woven Beaded Bag in Blue/Brown
My favourite beach tote of the summer. This will definitely still get a workout on weekends as a carry all and beach-to-bar bag.
Lexxola Bella Sunglasses in Leopard/Smoke
I’ve had my eye on this pair of sunglasses from Jacques Marie Marge for a while now. However now that I have a mortgage, the Bella from Lexxola are slightly less of a blow to the budget, whilst still premium (made from high quality acetate and German engineered hinges).
Wise Money: If you’re working with different currencies, this one is for you. So far the best bank I have found for multiple currency bank accounts, low rates and fast, easy currency conversion. It’s free to set up your account and you can even download digital bank cards to your digital wallet. Also great for travel. This isn’t sponsored, this is just one business girly to another. Learn from my mistakes.
